Charlton Christian College opened its doors for the first time on 28 April 1998, with six students and one teacher, situated in a church hall in Toronto, NSW under the name of Lake Macquarie Christian College
In February 1999, the College relocated to its current site in Fassifern, 12 hectares of bushland in the heart of beautiful Lake Macquarie, with a total of 56 students from Kindy to Year 7. The College grew steadily, changing its name to Charlton Christian College in 2005, and by 2007, it offered education from Kindergarten to Year 12, with students sitting for their first HSC exams.
We currently have 840 students and are built on the premise that recognises academic achievement as well as character building, attitude, effort and relationships in an environment where we believe we can equip students for life.
