Charlton VET students & The Greatest Showman
This year as part of Charlton’s Vocational Education and Training courses, Levi Field and Josiah Perrim from Year 11 are undertaking a Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology and loving every minute of it. Both hope to pursue a career in ministry and have completed modules on preaching, prayer, event managing, team ministry, scripture and leadership.
Josiah is planning on going into full-time ministry with hopes to become a senior pastor one day. Through this certificate, he will be able to enrol in a range of bible colleges with assured entry fast-tracking his progress towards this goal. Levi hopes to become a youth minister and the course is building his skills in leading young people in their journey with Christ.
As part of the course Levi and Josiah are running a movie night at St Phillips Christian College Waratah campus on August 22 in order to help connect families in the Hunter region and bless them with a fun night out. There will be activities for kids including and food for purchase. Families can sit together and watch the Greatest Showman for free.
From this project the two students will develop their skills practically in the areas of event management and team-based ministry.
They expect to be challenged by the event in the organisation process and on the night. To book tickets visit https://events.spcc.nsw.edu.au and select Newcastle, register and click on Movie Night.
We are proud of Levi and Josiah and hope you can support them.
