MISSIONS & SERVICE

At Charlton we have a desire to teach our students to have an outward focus and a desire to contribute to others and the world they live in. Our Mission and Service trips therefore are an important part of achieving this. We provide opportunities for students from Junior, Middle and Senior School to participate in local and overseas mission trips each year.
Our staff are always looking for opportunities that will broaden students perspectives and experiences in order to equip them to be responsible and contributing global citizens.

JUNIOR SCHOOL

Students, staff and parents
from Junior School head to Manila each year to serve in the Payatas Dumpsite, The King Solomon Christian School and the residents of Safehaven.

Many friendships are formed between our students and the local families that will last
a life time.

We believe students are never too young for mission.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Each year our students and staff head to the Northern Territory to serve alongside Youth with a Mission Outback in Darwin.

Our students love helping others by mowing their lawns, digging weeds, gardening and mulching as well as helping students learn basic maths and reading skills.

It feels good to help others who have a bigger need than ours.

SENIOR SCHOOL

Our senior students and staff love heading to the Philippines each year to help serve families that live in the Payatas Rubbish Dump.

We have assisted these families by setting up a small feeding program which helps the malnourished children.

Our students find this a life changing experience and feel a need to help others when they return back to their communities.

SCHOOLIES

Instead of heading off to the Gold Coast for schoolies
a group of Year 12 students save money and fundraise each year to head to Nepal to serve others.

This mission trip is a life changing experience
for our students who have a heart to serve others.

They have commented they would rather do this service trip then holiday for themselves.
